U-Haul Offers 30 Days of Self-Storage to Tornado Victims in Mississippi

Hattiesburg, Miss. (Jan. 23, 2017) — U-Haul Company of Mississippi is offering 30 days of free self-storage to Mississippi residents who were affected by the multiple tornadoes that touched down late last week.

Twisters plowed through the Petal and Hattiesburg communities in southeast Mississippi. William Carey University caught the brunt of an early Saturday morning storm, falling in the path of an EF-3 tornado.

“One tornado touched down near our center,” said Dick Porter, U-Haul Company of Mississippi president. “We want to make sure our neighbors in these communities are safe and have the help they need with a secure place to store their possessions while they try to recover.”
