Tropical Storm Isaias Recovery: U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Storage in Connecticut

PLAINVILLE, Conn. (Aug. 7, 2020) — U-Haul® is offering 30 days free self-storage to Connecticut residents impacted by Tropical Storm Isaias.

The storm caused extensive damage and knocked out power to thousands of people across the state. Governor Ned Lamont has declared a state of emergency.

“Many Connecticut neighborhoods have been hit hard and the property damage is significant,” said Will Cintas, U-Haul Company of Central Connecticut president. “Some residents have had severe property damage, others are still without power. As people begin to clean up, we want to offer them a secure place to store their possessions at no cost for one month.”

U-Haul has made 24 local facilities available to help. People seeking more information about the U-Haul disaster relief program or needing to arrange 30 days of free self-storage should contact the nearest participating location:
